1. No Audio
If you're experiencing no audio when using the dialer, there are a few potential causes. First, check your computer’s sound settings and make sure that your preferred output audio device is selected. Additionally, make sure your headphone or speaker cable is properly connected and check the volume settings. If these settings all appear correct, the second step is to ensure that the correct audio device is being selected within your browser.
2. Other Person Can't Hear Me
If the other person on the call is unable to hear you, the first step is to check your microphone settings. Ensure that the microphone is not set to 'Mute', and that it is properly connected to your computer. Additionally, in your browser settings, make sure that the microphone is selected as the input device.
3. They Can Hear Me but the Sound Is Not Clear
In order to ensure that the sound is clear for both you and the other person on the call, the key is to make sure that your browser settings and the audio settings in your computer are working together. If you are using a headset, make sure that you have the proper driver for your headset installed. Also ensure that the correct microphone input is selected.
4. Audio Is Breaking Up
If you're experiencing audio break-up during your call, it is likely due to poor internet conditions. To troubleshoot this issue, first, check your internet connection to ensure that it is stable and strong enough to support VoIP calls. Try closing any other bandwidth-intensive applications or programs that may be running in the background. You may also try moving closer to your Wi-Fi router or connecting to a wired connection if possible. Try running a network and device test found below.
You may also be experiencing issues with call audio due to your headset. Ensure that the correct input and outputs are selected. Bluetooth devices may have multiple options for inputs and outputs. See these troubleshooting tips.
5. Call Drops
Call drops can also be caused by poor internet connection or network issues. In addition to the solutions mentioned above, try restarting your router or modem, as this can sometimes help improve network performance. Try running a Network and device test found below.
6. Echoes During Calls
Echoes during calls can be caused by a variety of factors, including issues with your microphone, speakers, or network. To troubleshoot this issue, ensure that your microphone and speakers are properly connected and set up. You may also try adjusting the volume settings or reducing background noise. If the issue persists, try using a headset with noise-cancelling features to minimize echoes. Try running a Network and device test found below.
