Before Getting Started:
It is recommended to have a business line for the best experience. However, if you do not have a business line, you can purchase a Direct Inbound Dial (DID) number through Symbo. If you have an extension instead of a direct line, please reach out to the Symbo team at team@symbo.ai.
Instructions:
Click on the initials in the top right corner of the Symbo platform > Click on "My Settings."
Expand the "Phone Connection" field. Enter your phone number in the provided field.
Click "Call" to verify your phone number. One of two things will happen:
Symbo will provide you with a verification code that you will enter into your phone.
Symbo will call you with a verification code that you will enter into the platform.
Enter the verification code either into Symbo OR into your Phone.
Once your phone number is validated, the platform will bring you to a screen where you can connect additional phones to use as your outbound caller ID.
If you are using local presence, you can enable the "Forwarding" and "Ringing to This Number" features. These features will ring inside of the Symbo application as well as ring to the number that you've authenticated.
